TransContainer launched a new block train on the route Moscow - Blagoveshchensk
JSC TransContainer launches a new Transportation equipment for shipping cargo via various means of transport. Containers are durable enough for repeated use and can be stacked. Containers are divided into medium-duty (three- and five-tonne), which conform to former Soviet Union standards and are still used for shipments in Russia and the CIS, and ISO (20- and 40-foot) containers, which are used for Russian and international shipments. The universal standard unit TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit) was introduced to measure transport flow volumes.

The first 57-wagon train was launched on October 18, 2014 from the terminal station of Kuntsevo-2 of the Moscow Railway to destination Blagoveshensk of the Trans-Baikal Railway that it reached on October, 27 covering 7882 km in 9 days. Containers of any owners are welcome. Along with the usial rail transportation the customer can order intergated "from door to door" service. The second train on the route was launched on October, 25, 2014. The frequency of trains' departures is considered to rise up to 4 per month.
