The Russian Railways  Board of Directors approves a package of documents for founding an affiliated company, TransContainer.

The Russian Railways  Board of Directors adopts the Concept of founding an affiliated company for container transport on the basis of its reformed branch, TransContainer.

Formation of a network of container terminals managed by the Russian Railways branch is started in Russian freight traffic centers

Formation of an agency network in Russian freight traffic centers begins.

A network of territorial departments of the Russian Railways  branch is organized at 17 Russian railways.

The Centre for Container Transport (TransContainer) is instituted as a branch of JSC Russian Railways.
